Captains Introduction

For those of you who have yet to meet me, my name is Steve Cooper and I have the honour of being your club captain for the season 2009/10.

May I first thank Martin Lang who has been a fantastic captain over the last 12 months. I will endeavour to carry forward many of the fine principles he has brought to the club in his year.

My aim is to be here for the members and support them with good communication and well organised events.

I believe in ensuring Cumberwell is a place where all the family can come and enjoy the superb facilities Cumberwell has to offer. We will build on the success of the John James memorial event which is a great example of introducing members to new people from other sections.

My Captains charity this year is Dorothy House a local well known charity providing care for patients and their families facing life threatening illnesses. Please support my Captains Day on Saturday 10th July 2010, a day of fun for all.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible through the year and building on a successful 2009.
