Welcome to the Cumberwell Park Seniors Section
 My name is Steve Houlden and, as the 2013 captain of the Cumberwell Seniors' Section, I am delighted to welcome you to our web pages.
The Seniors' section provides the opportunity for male members of the golf club who are 55 years of age and over to play in a variety of golfing events held weekly throughout the year. We also play about 35 inter-club matches a year against senior sections based at other golf clubs in the area. The section has a healthy mix of high and low handicappers and the only stipulation we make is that you must have an active handicap before taking part in any of the events. Although there is a degree of friendly rivalry amongst the playing members of the section, we encourage all members to focus on retaining a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere with the emphasis being on enjoyment rather than winning.

If you wish to join the section, you can pick up an application form from the golf club reception, print off a copy of the application form on this web site or contact a member of the seniors' committee. On joining the section you will receive a starter pack and be contacted by the vice captain who will happily provide you with more information and invite you to play a round of golf with him or one of the other members of the seniors' committee. There is a nominal charge of £5 to join the section, and the same amount is charged for annual membership. The money raised from these subscriptions helps to subsidise our annual Christmas lunch.

On joining, you may also wish to take part in our monthly 100 club draw which provides a 1st prize of £120 and further cash amounts to the runners up. The revenue from the 100 Club helps to subsidise some of the additional events, such as Away Days, we hold throughout the year. An entry form to join the 100 Club is available within the starter pack.
