Welcome to the Cumberwell Park Seniors Section
A warm welcome to the Seniors’ Section of Cumberwell Park Golf Club from Section Captain – Tony Kujawa

Cumberwell Park GC is a friendly, welcoming club and the Men’s Senior Section aims to be the same. With over 230 members, our goal is to provide the opportunity to play competitive golf in a friendly atmosphere. You are eligible to join us if you are a club member aged 55 or over.
To join please complete an application form, available on-line, at reception or speak to any member of the Committee.

The Club reserves Tuesday mornings for Seniors’ 'Roll-Up' competitions. Section members can turn up in a two-hour window to play a mix of individual or team competitions. The “Roll-Up” presents a great opportunity to play with different players each week. Some events are pre-drawn and played with a rolling or shotgun start. Often, there is an opportunity to compete for specific trophies using a varied combination of our four, nine-hole courses.
As well as the Tuesday competitions, every year we organise 5 Matchplay KO competitions and play over 30 summer interclub matches, home and away. The interclub matches present an opportunity for all members to play at other clubs and meet their members. Lower handicapped golfers can also play in our successful interclub Winter League team (maximum handicap allowance 18).
In July the club hosts a popular Seniors’ Open which draws players from far and wide.
With Away Days and golfing/social events throughout the year, the Section offers a rich variety of activities for all. You can see our entire programme via The Intelligent Golf App, on the Seniors’ Notice board or on the club’s website
To play in Senior Section competitions you need an active handicap of 36 or below. However, we encourage all new Section members of any ability to join our welcome group, which plays every Thursday morning. This group gives you an introduction into the friendly world of Seniors’ golf.

Before you turn up to play for the first time please email Steve Wilson (Tuesdays) or Jeremy Vivian (Thursdays) and we’ll arrange a welcome.

My chosen charity is The National Osteoporosis Society and I hope to organise several fund-raising events for this cause. Osteoporosis, affects 1 in 2 women and 2 in 5 men.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
